PROJECT 1: MODELLING PERIODIC FUNCTIONS In this project, you are asked to work on real-life applications of trigonometric functions.

PROJECT 2: MATHEMATICAL CRYPTOGRAPHY AND DECIPHERING Definition, historical background, basic concept of cryptology. Types of ciphers: Caesar cipher, Vigenère cipher, Block cipher. Encrypt and decrypt a text with these three encryption methods. Discuss how cryptography is used today.

PROJECT 3: MODELING THE MOTION OF A THROWING BALL Use GeoGebra or Desmos to analyze quadratic functions and use the knowledge in solving real life problems.

PROJECT 4: CREATING A MODEL OF THE TEMPERATURE DATA TO PLAN A FAMILY VACATION Create a model of the average monthly temperatures for four cities, use trigonometric functions and their graphs to interpret real life situations.

PROJECT 5: SUNRISE / SUNSET You will calculate and graph the amount of daylight for three locations. Sketch a graph of the data and then interpret the graph by using trigonometric functions.
