PROJECT 1: PIGEONHOLE PRINCIPLE and PROBABILITY Search about the pigeonhole principle in Math and research about its applications in probability.
PROJECT 2: SPIDER-MAN TRIGONOMETRY Practice trigonometric angles and functions by drawing a city with buildings and lines as paths.
PROJECT 3: QUADRATICS IN DAILY LIFE APPLICATIONS In this project, you are asked to analyze quadratic functions in 4 different parts: Characteristics of quadratic functions, methods that can be used to solve, the steps of graphing quadratic functions, analysis of a real-world example of quadratics.
PROJECT 4: LINEAR AND QUADRATIC MODELLING In this project, you are asked to choose two different scenarios that can be modelled by a linear function and a quadratic function and then collect the data, make a scatter plot, apply a regression, write the function, and make a prediction about future or upcoming values.
PROJECT 5: MAKING ESCHER TESELLATIONS Search about Escher and his works of tessellations and prepare tessellation examples
PROJECT 6: MATHEMATICS BEHIND THE EGYPTIAN PYRAMIDS In this project, you are going to make research about the mathematical details behind the Egyptian Pyramids and show geometrically how they managed to accomplish a miraculous job.
PROJECT 7: SILENCE THE VIOLENCE Using statistical data and correlation coefficient data find relationship between country specific variables and crime rate variables and comment on them.
PROJECT 8: TOWERS of HANOI Analyze and write/draw an algorithm for the famous Towers of Hanoi puzzle.
PROJECT 9: MULTIPLES AND PRIME FACTORS Analyze HCF, LCM, prime numbers, multiples and divisibility rules and form charts
IMPORTANT: The instructions and the rubrics for projects are provided in the GC.
