In the 2nd grade, German, French and Spanish languages are introduced alternately during specific periods in order to build awareness about these languages and make students love different languages. In these introductory classes, the students have the opportunity to learn about languages and cultures through age-appropriate, well-rounded, and fun activities.

At the end of the 2nd grade elect German, French, or Spanish as their 2nd foreign language to study as of the 3rd grade and they begin to study it in the 3rd grade. It is of great importance that the students continue to study the same second foreign language throughout their education in our school so they can make a steady progress.

With the foreign language program designed by considering the students’ developmental characteristics and areas of interests, our main goal is to keep our students’ curiosity and motivation to learn language and thus, to pave the way for the process of learning another language in addition to English.
