2011-2012 ACADEMIC YEAR REGISTRATIONS

In 2011-2012 Academic Year, the kindergarten enrollments will be made in three age groups: Playgroup (born in 2008) Nursery (born in 2007) Pre-school (born in 2006) The candidate kindergarteners are given an interview by the vice-principal, counselor and the classroom teacher. The interview is given between 10:00-16:00 on every weekday and between 10:00-14:00 on Saturdays. The interviews will be held by appointment only. Please contact with the registration office for an appointment. The pre-registration transactions are to be completed on the day of appointment.

STUDENT ENROLLMENT IN GRADE 1

The kindergarteners who complete their pre-school education in our kindergarten can directly be enrolled in Grade 1. The prospective students to apply from outside the institution will be enrolled depending on the result of an individual interview which is provided at 10:00-16:00 on every weekday and at 10:00-14:00 on Saturdays. The pre-registration transactions are to be completed first so that the prospective students from outside the institution can be taken to an individual interview. An appointment is to be made for the Individual Interview in advance by contacting the registration office.

STUDENT ENROLLMENT IN GRADES 2 AND 3

The students can be enrolled in grades 2 and 3 depending on the result of an individual interview which is provided at 10:00-16:00 on every weekday and at 10:00-14:00 on Saturdays. The pre-registration transactions are to be completed first so that the prospective students from outside the institution can be taken to an individual interview. An appointment is to be made for the Individual Interview in advance by contacting the registration office.

STUDENT ENROLLMENT IN GRADES 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8

The students can be enrolled in grades 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 depending on the results of an Academic Test including written exams in Turkish, Mathematics, Science and Technology, and Social Studies as well as written and oral English exams. The result of the Individual Interview will also be effective in enrollment decision. The pre-registration transactions are to be completed first so that the prospective students from outside the institution can attend the Academic Test and the Individual Interview. Detailed information about the Academic Test and the Individual Interview will be provided by the registry office.

• For the students who study abroad, a certificate of education/transcript/school report card or a certificate of equivalence to be received from the current school

The students from abroad can be enrolled in an appropriate grade by submitting a certificate of equivalence to be received from the overseas representative offices of the Ministry of Turkish Education or from the overseas equivalence office of Istanbul Directorate of National Education. The pre-registered students will attend a Student Transfer Exam on a date to be determined and announced by the school.

GRADUATES OF TED ISTANBUL COLLEGE FOUNDATION PRIVATE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

The graduates of TED Istanbul College Private Elementary School can be enrolled in accordance with the Article 36 of the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Education Private Schools Framework Regulation on registration and admission.

GRADUATES OF OTHER PUBLIC AND PRIVATE ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS:

The enrollments of the students who scored between the minimum and maximum point to be specified by the school in the Grade 8 Placement Exam will be made in accordance with the registration calendar to be identified and announced by the Private Schools Examination Committee.

New students can be enrolled in grades 9 and 10 as long as the quota to be set by the Foundation Board of Directors permits. The students to apply for being transferred to grade 9 and 10 are to have completed the prep education of a 4-year high school which offers prep class education.

TRANSFER TO GRADE 9 AND 10 (WITHIN THE COUNTRY):

The pre-registration of the students who wish to transfer their enrollments to our school in line with the above-stated criteria can be made by the submission of a certificate of education (transcript) or term or year-end school report cards in addition to the following Pre-Registration Documents: Prospective Student’s:

The pre-registration of the students who wish to be transferred to our school from an overseas school can be made by the submission of a certificate of equivalence to be received from the overseas representative offices of the Ministry of Turkish Education or from the overseas equivalence office of Istanbul Directorate of National Education.
